Hawaii is one of my favorite US beach destinations! I have been 9 times and to all the 4 main islands. With the 4 main islands to choose from – Hawaii really has something to offer for every single traveller. Whether you are looking for adventure, leisure, wellness, culinary experiences, or more – choosing the right Hawaiian island/s is the first step in planning your tropical getaway. Having been to Hawaii multiple times I can tell you each island has its own unique vibe! Every island is diverse and beautiful in its own way. If you need any inspo for now or for the future here are my travel guides from the 4 main islands of Hawaii + why I love each one of them.
If the no 1 priority in your vacay is beautiful beaches – I would pick Maui among all the Hawaiian islands. Handsdown my fave Hawaiian island is Maui! It holds a special place in my heart as we went here on our honeymoon 8 years ago. We went back recently and fell in love with the island all over again.
Maui is also the perfect island getaway if you are looking for a luxurious romantic escape – it has tons of incredible resorts to choose from. Even though Maui is popular for honeymooners, it is also a greta island for families with kids.

If you love diversity and variety in an island – the Big Island is unbeatable! Infact, the island is known to have 10 of the world’s 14 climate zones – and without a doubt it is the most diverse destination I have been to in my life. The Big island of Hawai’i has it all from – unique beaches (black sand, white sand and green sand too!), active volcanoes, mountains, jungles, grasslands and even snow capped mountains (yes you read that right!). Our entire trip here was one epic adventure and I am dying to go back!

If you love nature, epic hikes along with an authentic Hawaiian island experience – the garden isle of Kauai is for you! Kauai’s landscapes like the majestic Napali Coast are some of the most breathtaking and beautiful natural landscapesI have seen in my life. To me, Kauai felt the most “authentic” in terms of having a local island feel compared to the other 3 islands.
Fave place to stay : Koa Kea Resort
