Rounding up some of my favorite Bay Area Staycation Hotels that would make the perfect weekend getaway!
Listing the Ritz at Half Moon Bay first cos it is my absolute favorite place for a staycation in the Bay Area! The location is spectacular and really makes you feel like you are like somewhere in Europe. The hotel is perched upon a cliff overlooking the gorgeous shoreline at Half Moon Bay. This is also a greta place for a day trip – try out their amazing weekend brunch and then head over to their beach for an afternoon siesta.
Santa Cruz is one of my fave little beach towns in California and I love that its just an hour away. We love staying at The Dream Inn Santa Cruz to make it an overnight trip. It is located right next to the famous boardwalk and is walkable to all the fun attraction. Check out my blog post here.
Farmhouse Inn is a beautiful countryside inn tucked away in Russian River valley. This lil’ boutique inn has all the charm of a cozy wine country B&B while also offering fantastic 5 star luxury services – including an amazing spa and a Michelin rated restaurant. The Inn has also been consistently voted as one of the Best Hotels in California and Best hotels in the US among many other awards. It is situated conveniently in between Napa and Sonoma and is a great option for a romantic weekend getaway in Norcal. We stayed here over my birthday a few years ago and have been dying to go back ever since! Check out my travel guide to Napa here.
4 ) HOTEL CARMEL & LA PLAYA CARMEL
Listing these out together as they are sister properties located in Carmel-by-the-Sea. I love staying at Carmel for weekend getaways to Big Sur and the Monterey peninsula. I absolutely love Hotel Carmel – if you are looking for a cozy little inn located in the heart of Carmel, check out my blog post here.
Even though Tahoe is a 3 hour drive from the Bay Area, I am listing this out here in my top 5! Tahoe is such a great destination whether you choose to visit in the summer or winter. My favorite place to stay here is The Ritz Carlton. I have been here twice and both times were in the winter; and it was so amazing! I Cant wait to head back once again, perhaps this time in another season.
Thanks for stopping by! xo
