Farmhouse Inn : Day 1

For my birthday weekend, Anush and I had the pleasure of having a little staycation at a beautiful inn tucked away in Russian River valley called Farmhouse Inn. This lil’ boutique inn has all the charm of a cozy wine country B&B while also offering fantastic 5 star luxury services – including an amazing spa and a Michelin rated restaurant. The Inn has also been voted the “Best Hotel in California” as well as ” No 8 in Best hotel in the world” by Travel and Leisure, amongst many of its other accolades. It is situated conveniently in between Napa and Sonoma and is a great option for a romantic weekend getaway in Norcal.  As soon as we checked in we were taken to our room and omg you guys! I think I could easily move in to this place, I was seriously obsessed with the tastefully decorated interiors in the room.

For the first evening, I slipped into this beautiful midi lace dress from Stevie May before heading out for dinner. I love the feminine crochet sheath that drapes so delicately over the body. The high neckline, asymmetric hemline as well as the trumpet sleeves are pretty little details that make this dress so darling. I paired the dress with beige booties and threw on this Alicia Adams Alpaca throw which was provided at the room to keep warm for the cool night.

Farmhouse Inn have two adorable house cats – Charlotte and Henry. Seen here, being the cutest photobomber ever is Charlotte who also happens to be the mascot of the inn. She followed us through the shoot and was literally like my shadow, or should I say copycat 🙂 (see the photos below for proof!). The two of them have very different personalities but are both beyond adorable. You will never catch them hanging out together, so while Charlotte joined me for this shoot you will see a glimpse of Mr Henry in tomorrow’s post!

Im totally a dessert before dinner kinda gal, smores anyone?! These homemade marshmallows were to die for!

Perfect end to the night was soaking in a hot bath with some of the amazing bath products that the inn offers to guests, while munching on some warm cookies and milk – yum! Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing birthday :).
