Constance Hotels and Resorts have a few stunning luxury properties all over the Indian Ocean in Mauritius, Maldives, Madagascar and the Seychelles! For our time in Mahe and Praslin we were super excited to stay at Constance Ephelia and Constance Lemuria respectively.
Constance Ephelia is located on the main island of Mahe. This beautiful tropical retreat is situated on two of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Mahé, overlooking the marine national park of Port Launay and is set within 120 hectares of land with luxuriant and rare vegetation. In this post I will be recapping our stay at Constance Ephelia!
The resort is SO big it really is an incredible experience by itself to explore the stunning property. It is divided into the North and South sections. The North has more villa style accommodations while the South have more suite style accommodations. Both sides have their own beach and restaurants too! So you can shuttle back and forth between the two to experience it all. They have regular shuttles/buggies to hop on and off from. Villa guests also get their own bikes to explore the property.
Around the beautiful resort!
All suites and villas are spaciously designed and stylishly decorated with breathtaking views on either the luxuriant garden or partial view of the Indian ocean. There are tons of accommodation styles to choose from – 42 Tropical Garden View Rooms, 184 Junior Suites, 40 Senior Suites, 22 Family Villas, 16 Beach Villas, 8 Hillside Villas or a unique Presidential Villa.

We stayed in a gorgeous two bedroom family villa. This luxurious villa had its own living room, two spacious bedrooms, a huge bathroom, its own sauna(!!), outdoor shower, outdoor dining area and a beautiful pool! The pool could be accessed directly from the bedroom, living room or the bathroom, which made it so amazing!
Our luxurious 2 bedroom pool villa
I mean – waking up and getting straight into the pool to have my floating breakfast is a life I could get used to! This villa would be perfect for a family of 4 or even 2 couples or a group of friends.
Floating breakfasts are my fave!
Constance Ephelia has 2 beautiful beaches – the South Beach and the North Beach. While both are stunning, the North was my favorite! It was a calm dreamy cove with warm waters and the softest white sands. This is a swimmable beach and is such a beautiful place to spend the morning or afternoon, in the water or on any of their lounge chairs by the beach. We loved spending early mornings here especially cos of the calm tide and the fact that we had the beach all to ourselves!
The dreamy North Beach !
Oh and the sunsets here were unreal! This was by far one of my favorite sunsets in our entire trip – just look at these magical colors!
Unreal sunset colors!
The South Beach is a long Bay which I loved walking across from one end to the other. This little section with the palm trees was my fave little corner.
Tropical vibes at the South Beach
We were on a full board plan which is perfect when it comes to dining. The full board plan includes all meals and non alcoholic drinks (during meal times). In terms of dining – there is not a shortage of places to eat at the resort with 5 restaurants to choose from across both the North and South end ! Here are the restaurants on property :
Corossol is Ephelia’s main buffet restaurant. We loved the delicious breakfast buffet and dinner buffet spreads here ! The entire dining area is spread around too in various units with different seating options – so many ambiances to choose from.
One of my personal faves was Adam and Eve. They had south east asian food with an emphasis on Malay, Singaporean and Indonesian. We loved our veggie burger and thai fish wrap with fresh coconut water here! It also has a pool here.
A casual chic restaurant by the South Beach and besides the main pool in the South. It features yummy Mediterranean food for lunch.
A sit down fine dining restaurant only open to villa guests featuring French meets local Asian cuisine. This was a lovely unique culinary experience! It also had such a intimate setting, perfect for a date night in paradise. They also have a Sushi Bar next to the main restaurant.
An all day dining kind of restaurant with a gorgeous setting by the North Beach. All meals here are buffet style. We tried both breakfast and dinner here and they were both so good!

For things to do there is so much to choose from at Constance Ephelia! Whether you want to try out some water activities, hit the gym for a workout session, get a massage at their world class spa, hang out by one of their many pools on property or more.
Anush and I opted for a couples massage while we were there at the Constance Spa. This was much needed as it was towards the end of our trip. We felt so relaxed and rejuvenated after! Whether you choose to relax, rejuvenate, detox, deep cleanse, re-hydrate or simply enjoy – you are guaranteed a wonderful experience ay this peaceful tropical oasis. A fun fact – this spa is the largest in the entire Indian Ocean. Once you are done with your treatment you can also choose to spend your time at one of their 4 pools in the spa.
Constance Ephelia will also make the most gorgeous setting for a wedding ! Or even a honeymoon. If you are headed here on a special occasion, definitely speak with their team so you can also plan special celebratory experiences such as a romantic sundowner , a beach picnic, etc.
While you are on the property also don’t forget to meet the oldest residents – the giant tortoises! They have daily feeding of the tortoises where you get up close and personal with these gentle giants. The Aldabra tortoises are endemic to this region of the world and it was such an incredible experience to spend time with them.
Making friends with the Giant Tortoises
The resort also has SMAC adventures on property with whom we tried ziplining in the tropical jungle and it was so much fun! They even had rock climbing tours.
Overall we had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful property in Praslin and highly recommend it if you are visiting the Seychelles. Stay tuned for my other posts from the Seychelles.
