Its no surprise that I love Spring and I love all the spring flowers! I am a sucker for all pretty blooms and will randomly stop for any pretty blossom at a random corner. Granted tons of these photos are at random spots around the neighborhood but there are few places you can certainly find spring flowers. Here are some of my favorite places to find Spring flowers in the SF Bay Area :
This is happening right now so don’t miss out! We pretty much go every year as you can see this collage from different years at the same field. Here are two spots I would recommend for mustard flowers :
Filoli is a beautiful country house set in 16 acres of formal gardens surrounded by a 654-acre estate, located in Woodside. The garden and house is open to all and has a stunning display of lots of spring flowers including tulips!
Gamble Garden is an Oasis in the heart of old Palo Alto and so close to where we live! I love this little garden for its cherry blossom trees, small tulip garden and especially their dreamy wisterias (which happens around April).
Been years ago to the SF Botanical garden and it was beautiful! I love that their website has live updates on what is currently blooming and right now it is the magnolias!
The Conservatory of flowers is at Golden Gate Park and is a greenhouse and botanical garden that houses a collection of rare and exotic plants. We went a few years ago and remember it to be so beautiful. The garden offers offers an intimate up-close experience with rare and endangered plants unlike any other.
I havent been here and it is so high on my list! Most lavender farms are by appointment only and they book out weeks in advance, check out Araceli Farms and Monte Belleria.
Calla Lily Valley at Garrapata State Park is stunning! The lilies bloom from Jan – April.
Another flower field on my list are the dreamy white almond flower orchards! You can find them in Los Banos or near the Sacramento area – between Dixon and Woodland (along highway 16).
Some fave shots with spring/summer flowers in the past!
Hope this helps you bloom hunt in the spring! Thanks for stopping by! xo
