For my birthday this past weekend, we had a quick little weekend getaway to one of our favorite parts of California – Napa Valley! We chose to staycation at the beautiful Carneros Resort and Spa. Set within the most picturesque wine countryside in Napa Valley, this charming resort was the perfect luxe private retreat and a quintessential Napa experience that we were looking for in our mini getaway.

The entire property is utterly romantic and so quaint, it really is the ideal safe getaway for a family or couple. Especially because all the accommodations here at the resort were standalone luxe cottages, cottage suites or vacation homes. It is the perfect option for a safe socially distanced vacay in Napa! The resort is also adapted to the new times with lots of safety measures in place, we felt safe throughout our stay here.

Each of these chic countryside cottage style villas have a beautiful blend of indoor and outdoor living and feature their own spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and a private patio with outdoor showers + bathtub , fireplaces, lounge chairs and dining tables for in room dining. They also have suites which are comprised of 2 cottages joined by a deck and garden. Homes with full kitchens and living areas are also available. I especially loved the heated bathroom floors and the wine on tap in the room!

While in room dining is always an option, the resort had plenty of dining options with 3 restaurants on property of which 2 were operating currently for outdoor dining. We tried Farm for my birthday dinner and it was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic fine dining experience in Napa! We also had brunch at one of our all time faves – Boon Fly Cafe. Do not miss out on their donuts!

Other amenities on property include – a spa, library, complimentary bicycles to explore the beautiful property, a fitness centre and 2 pools. This hilltop pool area was my favorite part of the property – I mean can you blame me ?! It had the most stunning views of rolling vineyards all around.
