Anush and I just returned from a magical Morrocan adventure about a week ago. Morocco has always been very high on my list and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to visit this incredible country this year. Stay tuned this week and next for all my blog posts as well as a detailed travel guide.
We started off our adventure in the vibrant city of Marrakech. For the first two days of our trip, we wanted to have an easy relaxing start so we opted to stay on the outskirts of the city in the beautiful Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech, which is part of the Leading Hotels Of The World. It was the perfect start to our adventure in Morocco.
I have spoken about this luxury group of hotels several times in the past, so I wanted to give it a formal introduction this time around for those of you who aren’t familiar with it. The Leading Hotels Of The World is a curated collection of over 400 authentic & uncommon luxury hotels and resorts in about 80 countries around the world. It is my absolute fave way to search for uncommon and unique stays around the world in the luxury category. Being an avid LHW Traveler, I have had the pleasure of staying and visiting a couple of their properties around the world. Some of my most memorable stays were the ones in Anguilla and Palm Beach in the past, as well as Antigua and Cartagena more recently.
Having been to a few of their properties I can assure you that these hotels are very thoughtfully picked and really are the best of the best. Each of them truly embody the essence of their destination. The company selects only hotels that meet its high standards for quality and distinctiveness, resulting in a curated portfolio of hotels united not by what makes them the same, but the details that make them uniquely different.
LHW has a loyalty program called the Leader’s Club that earns you rewards and perks at all their locations. I just signed up for it and I’m excited to continue crossing off more dream hotels from their list in the future! The loyalty program provides its members with personalized service, exclusive travel benefits and enhances every stay at the over 400 luxury properties in the Leading Hotels’ portfolio. Benefits for club members include confirmed pre-arrival upgrades, the chance to earn free nights with Leaders Club points, exclusive access to new member hotels, special rates, upgrade consideration at check-in, complimentary breakfast and Wifi, and much more! Leaders Club is a tiered, fee-based program ($175 annually) that is totally worth it and rewarding if you are a luxury hotel snob like me ;)!
The best part is that once you sign up you can begin redeeming benefits right off the bat from your first paid stay – including getting an upgrade priority at arrival, daily continental breakfast for two, early check-in and late check-out considerations and more. My favorite part about the loyalty program especially cos we travel frequently is the chance to earn free nights! You can earn 1 point for every 1 USD or currency equivalent you spend on qualifying room rates for up to 3 rooms per stay; free nights start at 4,000 points. This time at the Fairmont Marrakech we were able to redeem a few of the Leader’s Clubs perks (more details below) and it made our stay even more memorable!
The Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech is a luxurious intimate escape located in an oasis of date palms, orange trees and olive trees and with a stunning backdrop of the snow capped Atlas Mountains. Ideally located 12 kilometers from the Medina of Marrakech, it really is the perfect location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to visit it whenever you want to, especially easy cos they also have complimentary shuttles!
The resort has 134 units, apportioned in rooms, suites and villas, which offer a true reflection of Morocco itself. The furniture and decor was the ideal combination of traditional meets contemporary. Each one of the rooms features a huge balcony/terrace that offers unobstructed and mind blowing views of either the gardens or the golf course and the Atlas; the ideal spot to take advantage of the first rays of sunlight or a warm summer night. We were upgraded to a Deluxe Suite, thanks to our Leader’s Club perks and you guys – the suite was fit for a king and queen! It had a luxurious bed, expansive living space and a spacious bathroom with walk in closet!

We also had the chance to tour one of their Prince Villas on property which was truly magnificent – this would be ideal for a family, small group of friends or even for a honeymooning couple! Each villa had a gorgeous living space, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (with outdoor showers – please take note 😉 so important!) as well as a private pool and hammam in the backyard.

The resort grounds were so tranquil and beautiful; my favorite part of the resort was the large lake like pool ! It had the best views all around and was never too crowded so we always felt like it was like our own private pool for the most part. Other activities on property included a fitness centre (which I went to a few times and loved!), golf, yoga, tennis and more.

As for dining, there are four exceptional restaurants to choose from that serve both regional favorites and international cuisine. We especially loved our daily breakfast buffets at Le Caravane – the spread was beyond amazing! We got to try a ton of local faves as well as continental staples. We also loved the poolside lunch at L’Olivier, the food was delicious and the ambiance was just gorgeous! And of course no vacay of mine is complete without some room service ;), luckily for us they had in room dining here 24×7.

This time, we were also able to get a #leadersclubupgraded perk of getting an incredible couples massage at the Fairmont Marrakech Spa. Post massage, we spent sometime in their outdoor spa gardens as well as sipping on some refreshing Moroccan mint tea by the indoor pool – which was by far the prettiest spa pool I have ever seen in my life! Designed like a traditional riad, I loved the all white decor which totally added to the calm serene vibe of the spa.

Overall we had such a wonderful stay at Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech and absolutely recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful luxurious stay in Marrakech.
Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
