For the second half of our stay in South Africa, we chose to stay away from the city of Cape Town and experience staying along the Cape Peninsula along the super gorgeous coastline. When we checked into Tintswalo Atlantic in Hout Bay we were astounded by the location and sheer beauty of this place! It is the only oceanfront resort along the foot of the world famous Chapman’s peak drive and is nestled within the Table Mountain national park. It was just the perfect sweet escape that we were looking for!
Everything about this hidden gem of a 5 star boutique lodge is utterly gorgeous, its no surprise that it has won a ton of awards! The lodge is perched on a pebbled beach and enjoys panoramic views of the picturesque Hout Bay harbour, the dramatic Sentinel mountain peak, and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The entire resort faces this incredible view in the front and the view of the majestic mountains behind, so its so easy to feel so in one with nature while enjoying five star luxury at its finest at this incredible place.
My favorite part of the stay at Tintswalo Atlantic was the tastefully thought of beachy coastal chic decor – it was to die for! Everything was so beautiful and in shades of blue and white – my favorite color combo! I loved that it went so perfectly with my outfit for that day – this two piece set from Beachgold Bali. There are 11 different island suites, each unique and gorgeous in its own way. We stayed in the Cousine suite and its safe to say it was a match made in heaven ! Will you look at this stunning interiorscape and the to-die-for views from the bathroom and patio – #goals !
We also loved the heated pool area, I mean whats not to love when theres an unbelievable view to look at while sipping on some bubbly!
The pebble beach is a romantic setting to lay on the hammocks and enjoy the epic sunsets that Hout Bay has to offer! I love this Kaohs suit that I wore for an evening beach session here in the resort, it is so comfy and flattering, the cutout details are super cute as well! During low tides in the day, there is a small sandy beach section that opens up to enjoy while it lasts before the tide rolls back in. But personally I actually loved the change of scenery from a sandy beach in Clifton to this pebble beach in Hout Bay!
The food at Tintswalo was also excellent! We had some fantastic breakast , lunch and dinner on all the days we were there. They even made me a birthday cake on the night of my birthday and that was so incredibly sweet! The 5 course dinners were amazing, but for those of you who know how much Anush and I loveee a good brunch/breakfast – our fave meals of our stay were undoubtedly the fantastic breakfast we got to try on the days we stayed here. I also must mention that the entire staff were above and beyond courteous. By the end of the stay we actually made a good friend and we now are also insta friends yay!
Anush and I fell in love with this magical slice of paradise. It was honestly the best place I could spend a relaxing, quiet and romantic 30th birthday weekend, with my love and so close to nature. If you are ever visiting Cape Town , I highly highly recommend this place for an unforgettable and memorable experience that you will cherish for life.
