We were so thrilled to be back in Greece this summer, but this time island hopped in the Ionian side. Our first stop was Zakynthos where we checked in to two of the best luxury hotels on the island both part of the Lesante Collection and both a part of the Leading Hotels Of The World. In this blog post I will be covering both the hotels since we split our stay across both of them.
First up was the stunning Lesante Blu, an adults only luxury escape in Zakynthos. This 5-star, all-suite hotel is tucked into the hillside so you get spectacular views of the Ionian Sea everywhere, and true to its name its blues for days all around you. The whole place seems designed to make you feel relaxed, serenely comfortable, and utterly away from it all.
Lesante Blu is an all suite hotel, many of the suites also have their own private pools and jacuzzis. We stayed in the Spa Suite Sea View with Outdoor Jetted Tub, and honestly, it was dreamy. The suite had a king-size bed and a cozy sitting area, with floor-to-ceiling windows that made the Ionian Sea feel like it was part of the room. The bathroom was all marble, with a rain shower and a deep tub that felt like pure indulgence. But the best part? Stepping out onto our balcony to our private outdoor jetted tub, sitting there at sunset with the sea stretched out in front of us was basically heaven.
The gastronomy at Lesante Blu is a whole other experience and they have several restuarnts to choose from :
Melia Fine Dining
An elegant à la carte restaurant offering contemporary Greek cuisine with breathtaking sunset views.
Gaia Restaurant
A buffet-style restaurant serving a variety of international dishes and themed nights, perfect for starting the day or enjoying a relaxed evening.
Breakfast at Gaia
Ostria All Day Restaurant & Bar
A laid-back spot by the pool offering Mediterranean dishes for lunch and dinner, ideal for casual dining with a view.
Dinner at Ostria
Almyra Beach House
A beachfront venue serving light Mediterranean fare and drinks, perfect for a relaxed meal by the sea.
Panorama Champagne Bar
An elegant bar offering a selection of champagnes and cocktails, ideal for a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap.
Private Dining
Tailored dining experiences for special occasions, offering intimate settings and personalized menus.
Lesante Blu has plenty of avenues for relaxation from the stunning infinity pool, to the private beach bar, or to the spa over at Lesante Cape. You can also book many experiences around Zakynthos via the resort’s concierge.
The beach and pool at Lesante Blu were absolutely dreamy. The resort has a private sandy beach with calm, shallow waters, perfect for lounging or a peaceful swim, and the main infinity pool feels like it spills straight into the Ionian Sea—sunsets here are unforgettable. There’s also a quiet indoor pool if you want a more private swim, and the beach and poolside loungers are super comfortable, with service bringing cocktails and light bites right to you. Honestly, whether we were soaking up the sun, floating in the pool, or relaxing in a cabana with a drink in hand, it felt like pure luxury and complete relaxation.
Our next stop was the stunning Lesante Cape, just a short 20 minutes away from Lesante Blu. This is a much larger resort and perfect for couples and families alike. Nestled in the tranquil village of Akrotiri, Lesante Cape is a luxurious retreat that seamlessly blends traditional Greek architecture with modern comforts.
This Leading Hotels Of The World resort is unique in the sense that it’s built like a traditional Greek village, which makes the experience so authentic. Cobbled pathways, olive groves, stone walls and bougainvillea all around made it so magical.
The resort has a square at its center where all the socializing and events take place. There is also a cafe, a taverna, vineyard, church , a folklore museum and a farm to table restaurant on property , making this not just a hotel but also a cultural destination.
All the accomodations here are either suites or villas and many of them have their own private infinity plunge pool. Staying in the One Bedroom Sea View Pool Villa at Lesante Cape was nothing short of magical. This villa is a compact masterpiece, drawing inspiration from the traditional Akrotiri manors of Zakynthos’ nobility.
The design seamlessly blends exposed stone with washed sapwood paneling, creating a space that feels both rustic and refined. Natural light floods the interiors, enhancing the sense of openness and tranquility. The villa comfortably accommodates up to three guests, making it perfect for couples or small groups seeking a luxurious retreat. Stepping outside, the private pool beckons, accompanied by a furnished sun terrace that offers breathtaking sea views. Whether lounging by the pool or enjoying a meal in the outdoor dining area, every moment spent here felt like a serene escape into paradise.
Dining at Lesante Cape was a culinary journey that delighted my senses at every turn. Here’s a glimpse into the resort’s dining offerings:
Elea Restaurant – Mediterranean cuisine with fresh, local ingredients.
Breakfast at Elea
Novita Restaurant & Bar – Mediterranean dishes with locally-sourced produce and seafood.
Fiore Fine Dining – Modern Greek gastronomy inspired by the chef’s travels and childhood. We loved doing the Lobster dinner here, every dish was spectacular!

The Taverna – Classic Greek taverna fare with seafood, meats, and traditional flavors. The Taverna at night is so charming and the perfect spot to grab a casual dinner.
Kyma Beach Bar – Refreshing drinks and Mediterranean beach-friendly snacks.
Kafeneio – Traditional Greek café treats and beverages.
Lesante Cape has so many activities to offer on property and off property via the concierge, from sunset yoga and paddleboarding to guided hikes and wine tasting experiences—there’s truly something for everyone. But honestly, most of our time was spent just soaking up the resort’s beach and pool.
The resort boasts a small private beach with rocky and pebbled shores, accessible via stairs, providing a tranquil retreat for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear sea.
For those who prefer poolside relaxation, there are three stunning infinity pools, each offering breathtaking views and a serene ambiance. Whether you’re swimming, sunbathing, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, these pools provide the perfect setting for relaxation and unforgettable moments.
Both Lesante Blu and Lesante Cape offered an unforgettable escape, each with its own unique charm. At Lesante Blu, we loved the serene beach, the infinity pool that seemed to blend into the Ionian Sea, and our Spa Suite with its private outdoor jetted tub—it felt like a luxurious sanctuary made just for us. Lesante Cape, on the other hand, charmed us with its village-style layout, multiple infinity pools, and our private Sea View Pool Villa, along with endless activities and a peaceful private beach. Both resorts delivered the perfect balance of relaxation, luxury, and authentic Greek beauty, and we would highly recommend both for your stay in Zakynthos.
Thanks for stopping by.
