Four Seasons Bora Bora : The Bucketlist Hotel that lives up to the hype

What’s been the number one destination on your bucket list? For me, it’s always been Bora Bora—and to be even more specific, the iconic Four Seasons Bora Bora.. This breathtaking island escape has held a top spot on my wanderlust radar for as long as I can remember. Having revisited a second time around, I can confirm it is as magical as I remember it to be!

Four Seasons Bora Bora is handsdown one of the most beautiful and romantic resorts we have ever been to ever! Not only does it sit on one of the best locations in all of Bora Bora, but it’s exceptional service and overall experience makes this a dream hotel that you need to add to your bucket list stat. The magic begins the moment you step off the boat—unreal views, aquamarine waters, and postcard-perfect scenery in every direction.

The idyllic palm fringed resort sits on its own little private motu and is best accessed by the resort’s private boat that will pick you up from the Bora Bora airport.

Privacy: Perfect balance of seclusion and connection.
Perfect for Couples or Families: While it’s often considered a honeymoon destination, they also cater beautifully to families with kids’ programs and family-friendly villas. We saw an equal number of couples and families!

STAY :

Now let’s talk about the stay itself—absolutely unforgettable. The resort features two picturesque pontoons of overwater bungalows (each offering distinct views), plus luxurious 1-5 bedroom villa estates for families or larger groups.

There are two pontoons of overwater bungalows, with villas of different categories and different views. But all these stunning villas offer direct water access, panoramic views, and luxurious indoor-outdoor living. They blend traditional Polynesian design (thatched roofs, teak furnishings) with modern luxury.

We stayed in a One Bedroom Otemanu view overwater bungalow suite and it was spectacular! The spacious suite was very tastefully decorated with a separate living room, bedroom and large bathroom. It also had an outdoor deck with lounge chairs, dining chairs, direct access to the azure lagoon and an insane view of Mount Otemanu.

We also had the chance to tour one of the beautiful villa estates. These luxe beach villas range from 1-5 bedroom and come with private pools and lush gardens — perfect for families or groups.

Casual beachfront dining with a toes-in-the-sand vibe. The Poisson Cru is the BEST I have had in all my trips to Tahiti! Its outstanding!

Think romantic dinners on the beach, in-villa service, or canoe breakfasts in your villa, or beach breakfasts at the lagoon edge. We did a Sea Sun Sweet Breakfast on one morning as well as a private dinner on our last night and they were both so memorable! Highly recommend these experiences if you are going here for your honeymoon or a special occasion.

The main beach at FS Bora Bora is a vision straight from a luxury travel magazine. Whether you’re lounging under a thatched palapa, taking a dip in the warm lagoon, or strolling the pristine shore, it’s a beach day like no other.

There’s also the Lagoon Beach area, tucked away in the resort’s lush backwaters. This hidden gem was one of my favorite spots on the property—tranquil, exotic, and teeming with vibrant reef fish. The biodiversity in this part of the resort is spectacular and offers a completely different slice of paradise.
