Bora Bora is without a doubt one of my favorite places in the world and we can’t help ourselves to keep going back over and over again. Having stayed at most of the other luxury hotels in Bora Bora there was one luxury hotel that we had been dying to stay at for the longest time – the iconic St Regis Bora Bora! And I am so glad we got to stay at the St Regis this time around. Spoiler alert – it absolutely exceeded our expectations and is easily one of our favorite resorts in the world.
The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort is a luxurious and picturesque resort located on its own private motu in Bora Bora. It is the only Forbes 5 star resort in Bora Bora and is renowned for its exceptional service, stunning natural beauty, featuring crystal-clear turquoise waters, lush tropical landscapes, and breathtaking views of Mount Otemanu. To get here you will first have to fly from Papeete, the capital of Tahiti to Bora Bora, and then take a boat transfer over. You can check out my Bora Bora travel guide for more.
There are a total of 91 Luxury overwater and beach villas at The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort and every villa also comes with butler service.
The resort has the largest overwater villas in French Polynesia and the South Pacific, starting at 1,550 square feet! We stayed in a one bedroom Deluxe Otemanu overwater villa and it was such a dream.
Every overwater villa consists of a separate living room and bedroom, with huge, luxurious bathrooms and glass viewing panels throughout, cut into the floor to provide glimpses of tropical fish swimming by.

The outdoor deck was my favorite part with sun loungers, a private dining area and direct access to the dreamy lagoon.
The resort is so huge, it is one of the only resorts that has bikes for every villa to get around. While you can also call for a buggy, we personally loved using our bikes to explore the lush property.
I loved the stunning tropical vibes around the property with views of Mount Otemanu from so many corners.
The St. Regis Bora Bora offers several dining options, including:

If you visit Bora Bora, a canoe breakfast is a must do bucketlist experience ! They deliver a delicious breakfast in a Va’a ( Polynesian canoe ) to your overwater villa. While breakfast is being served on your deck, you can go out for a ride in the beautiful turquoise lagoon and maybe even try your hand at the canoe !

Once you come back to your villa you can enjoy the breakfast in the privacy of your villa with stunning views of the mountain and the lagoon. An experience we will never forget at the St Regis!
This was handsdown our favorite meal of the trip and one of the most memorable dining experiences we have ever had. The private dinner comes with an incredible 3 course meal that you get to enjoy at a private spot like the main beach area or even on the spa beach.
Private beach dinner
Everything from this evening was perfection – from the food, the setup and tablescaping, our wonderful waitress who also danced for us to the magical sunset. It was so utterly romantic, we will cherish this special evening forever.
Whether you choose to stay on property or venture off property there are plenty of things to do in Bora Bora. There is a concierge on property that will be glad to assist you with all things regarding activities. We pretty much stayed on property while we were here as there are so many things to do from the spa, tennis, snorkeling at the lagoonarium, etc.
We had a traditional Polynesian couples massage at the Spa and it was so heavenly. After the massage we could enjoy a complimentary class of bubbly and snacks by the picture perfect spa beach.
at the stunning Spa beach
St Regis Bora Bora has an incredible private lagoonarium right by the Spa. This is a protected underwater sanctuary for myriad species of tropical fish and coral . The snorkeling here is spectacular, the vibes are so tranquil and the views .. don’t even need an explanation ! It was our favorite spot in the resort.
around the Lagoonarium
The resort has 2 pool areas – a main pool and an adult pool area.
Main pool area
The main beach area is absolutely gorgeous. Whether you love activities or just like to lounge around, either way St Regis has you covered from water sports to lots of areas to lounge to spend your time here. My favorite spot had to be the hammock in the water.
Main beach area
The spa beach is the more serene quieter beach and it absolutely divine.

Overall, the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort is an epitome of luxury and paradise, offering an unforgettable experience for those seeking a high-end tropical getaway. We had the most amazing time here and cannot wait to be back one day!
