Mauritius has been on our bucketlist for the longest time and we are so glad to have crossed it off the list recently when we finally made it out to this incredible destination. We spent a week on the island across 3 different locations. First up we stayed at the beautiful Shangri-La Le Touessrok Resort, Mauritius – one of the most luxurious and renowned resorts in the Indian Ocean. Nestled on the east coast of Mauritius in the tranquil Trou d’ Eau Douce Bay, this resort offers an exclusive sanctuary of privacy and personalization in an atmosphere of refined island luxury. The resort embodies the spirit of Mauritius with its warm hospitality, serene landscape, and cultural richness, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking an upscale and unforgettable vacation experience.
The resort features a range of luxurious rooms, suites, and villas, all of which offer magnificent ocean views. The accommodations are designed to blend modernity with local inspiration, featuring elegant furnishings, spacious layouts, and state-of-the-art amenities. Villas provide an even higher level of privacy and luxury, complete with personalized butler service, private pools, and direct beach access.
We stayed at one of their Hibiscus Junior Suite Beach Access Suites. The suite had a spacious airy bedroom with beautiful views of the beach, a large bathroom with a walk in shower, soaking tub and separate vanities. These suites also come with a full furnished private terrace which is just steps away from the stunning Hibiscus Beach.
We absolutely loved how lush and scenic the resort grounds were, it felt like an intimate oasis!
The resort has 2 stunning beachfronts – Coral beach and Hibiscus Beach. Both beaches have lots of lounge areas and spots to relax. We personally loved Hibiscus Beach – such a stunning calm cove, perfect to sunbathe, swim or even try your hand at a watersport or two.
There are also 2 pool areas in the resort – the main pool area and the adult pool area. Guests can also indulge in a wide range of other activities, including water sports, tennis, and access to the exclusive golf course on Ile aux Cerfs.
