During our recent visit to the Maldives we split our stay across two different atolls that we had not been to in the past. We started off our stay in the South and then moved over to the north.
Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi sits amid Shaviyani Atoll, on an island fringed by white coral-sand beaches and kissed by the crystalline waters of one of the Maldives’ largest resort lagoons.
You would have to take a scenic seaplane ride to get to Fairmont Maldives. The reservations team will be happy to assist you with booking all your transfers.
The property has a total of 120 villas – a mix of overwater villas, beach villas and unique safari-style tented villas shrouded in lush jungle, yet mere steps from the water. Each of the villas also feature a private pool and 24-hour services of your personal Villa butler.
We stayed for 2 nights in their Grand Water Sunset Villa with Private Pool and it was such a dream. The villa features a spacious living/bedroom section adjoined next to a massive bathroom area. The outdoor deck has a private infinity pool, swing, dining table, lounge areas and direct access to the ocean.

We also stayed at the Beach tented villa for one night to get a feel for how glamping in the Maldives would be and it was so fun! Surrounded by the lush tropical jungle, it is just steps away from the powder-white sand beach and the turquoise waters of the lagoon. The Beach Tented Villa offers ample space with a master bedroom, dining, living space and an en-suite private bathrooms with separate shower, tub and and twin vanities. The outdoor space has plenty of private space to lounge around and also has a private pool.

The resort is pretty massive, so each villa also gets their own bikes to explore around. There are plenty of beach areas to enjoy both on the lagoon side or the ocean side. My favorite area was this swing at the waters edge! What a dreamy spot!

The resort has the longest infinity pool in the Maldives and it is absolutely breathtaking!

Some of the many activities on the property include a water sports center, spa, gym, tennis courts, artists studio and more. We visited the Fairmont Spa for a couples massage on one of the days and it was so rejuvenating.
Another activity I would highly recommend is taking a Maldivian Cooking Class! This was such a fun interactive experience where Anush and I got to be sous chef for the day and we got to cook an entire meal for ourselves, under the guidance of some of the chefs in the restaurant. I highly recommend taking this class! We can’t wait to practice our skills at home.

We also loved doing the “Paint your own coconut” activity at the Artist Studio, it made the perfect souvenir from paradise. They also had other fun art options to choose from at the studio.
