For our last stop in our Vietnam adventure we wanted to visit an island and Phu Quoc was always on our radar. PhU Quoc is Vietnam’s largest island located off the coast of Cambodia in the Gulf of Thailand. It’s known for gorgeous white-sand beaches and lush mountains. More than half of the island is part of Phu Quoc National Park, which features mountains, dense tropical jungle, hiking trails and wildlife.
Another reason we wanted to add Phu Quoc to our itinerary was to stay and visit the stunning new Regent Phu Quoc, the newest and arguably the best luxury resort on the island, located on one of the best beaches of Phu Quoc – Long Beach. Infact Travel and Leisure also included it as one of the best new hotels in the world in their It List 2023.
This was our first time staying at a Regent property and we were absolutely amazed at the level of luxury, hospitality and attention to detail across every facet in the property. From their signature colors/prints across the board to the gorgeous interiors, lush tropical landscaping, incredible dining and more, its no surprise why this resort has been also called a sone of the best new luxury hotels in Asia!
This is an all luxury suites and villas style property and all the styles of accommodation are thoughtfully appointed with details inspired by the island’s tropical abundance and tranquil surroundings. They have a range of accommodations to choose from. We stayed in one of their stunning One Bedroom Sky Pool Villa which had discreetly opulent indoor and outdoor spaces. Our private patio also had a private infinity pool!

Luxury room amenities
The sky villa has a modern, open-plan living room with a beautiful dining area and kitchen, an expansive terrace featuring a private infinity pool and double chaise lounge and a spacious bedroom and luxurious bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, double vanity, and a deep soaking bathtub.
As for dining options, the resort has 2 main restaurants – Rice Terrace and the Ocean Club, and a speciality restaurant called Oku. Rice Terrace served breakfast everyday and Asian cuisine for lunch and dinner. While Ocean Club served Western and Seafood inspired cuisine. I can’t stress enough on how incredible every meal was during our time at Regent Phu Quoc!
From the lavish breakfast buffer spread to the authentic Vietnamese delicacies at the Rice Terrace to some of the BEST pizza and hamburger we have ever had in our lives ( not even an exaggeration!) at the Ocean Club – everything was excellent!
Views and drinks at Fu Bar
Don’t miss out on their uber chic bars – Jade Bar and Fu Bar. We especially loved catching a sunset at their swanky rooftop bar – Fu Bar. There is also a rooftop pool here. The vibes, views and drinks were a 10/10!
Anush and I also got a couples massage on one of the afternoons at the spa on property and it was heavenly! They also have morning sun salutations and meditation sessions every day. We also loved their well equipped gym for our quick morning workout sessions.

Regent Phu Quoc is located on one of the best beaches in Phu Quoc – Long Beach. The beach area is picture perfect, loved the palm fringed shore, golden sands and calm blue waters.
The resort had 3 stunning pools to choose from – the one by the Ocean Club was my favorite, how stunning are the leaning palm trees that frame it?!
Pool areas at Regent Phu Quoc
Oh and the sunsets at Phu Quoc are as magical as they say they are! Look at these insane colors !
Magical Phu Quoc sunsets
There is so much to do at Regent Phu Quoc from the spa, to watersports ( like kayaking, dinghy sailing, etc), to outdoor sports ( beach volleyball, soccer, etc) to cooking classes to snorkeling to sunset sailing. The resort is a destination by itself which is why we pretty much stayed only on property since we were only here for 2 days.
If you have more time there is so much to do on the island of Phu Quoc, the concierge on property would be happy to recommend or assist you with booking your itinerary. The one place we visited was Bai Sao beach, the most beautiful beach on the island of Phu Quoc – white sands and turquoise waters!
Bai Sao Beach is heavenly!
Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
