After our Saharan adventure, we spend the last 4 days of our trip to Morocco back in Marrakech. While we stayed on the outskirts in a resort in the beginning of the trip, this time we wanted a different experience so we opted to stay right in the heart of the Medina(old city) of Marrakech in a traditional riad.
Angsana Riads Collection is a set of 6 restored riads located very centrally in the heart of the medina. It is a short walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main old town square as well as to all the other tourist attractions in town. The Medina itself is a walkable district with only two wheelers and pedestrians allowed in the narrow alleys (taxis are allowed only in certain outer spots), so in my opinion location is super important if you are keen on experiencing a stay in the city.
Entrance to Riad Si Said
Each riad is charming in its own way with its own unique courtyard, plunge pool, terrace and rooms for guests. The main riad – Riad Si Said is absolutely stunning! I loved the intricate tiled centre courtyard.
Stunning tilework in the main courtyard
This is also where the main restaurant is also located where we tried dinner on two nights and it was amazing. The cuisine was a blend of Moroccan meets Mediterranean. We absolutely loved the Moroccan salad platter and the samosas especially – so so good!

The terrace of Riad Si Said is also vast and so pretty – a perfect spot to catch an afternoon nap or work on your vacay tan.

Our Riad – Riad Bab Firdaus was just a short 2 minute walk away from the main riad and was so homely and intimate, I loved the feeling of staying in a traditional Moroccan riad. The thing I loved most about our riad is that it felt like a peaceful oasis to retract to whenever we needed a break from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Being walkable from the main square and all the other attractions – it was so easy to go out to explore and come back to regroup as we please.
Riad Bab Firdaus
Our double room was super cute with a large king bed and spacious bathroom; the decor was very Arabesque. There was also a spa in our Riad that we didnt get to try this time around, but it looked so inviting! If you ever visit I highly recommend checking it out. The Angsana Spa offers the best of Asian wellness and traditional Moroccan body care.
Terrace in Riad Bab Firdaus
There were plenty of common areas to relax in the Riad like the terrace as well as the gorgeous plunge pool.

The pool area is also where they serve breakfast every morning. I loved that they served fresh Moroccan orange juice every morning to start off breakfast along with yummy local and continental delicacies.
All my looks :
Overall we loved our stay at Angsana Riads Collection in Marrakech; if you are looking for an authentic riad stay in an incredible location definitely check them out!
Thanks for stopping by. xoxo
