We fell truly madly deeply in love with Aitutaki lagoon so much so that we decided to out on the lagoon for another private tour this time with Teking Tours. To catch my highlights from out first lagoon cruise, check out this blog post here.

One foot island

Teariki from Teking Tours is also fun, entertaining and so knowledgable about the ins and outs of the lagoon. His company organizes private as well as small group tours for lagoon cruises. Our trip could not be complete before we stopped by One Foot Island one last time. It is by far become one of my absolute fave places on earth and holds a special place in my heart!

The islands in the atoll are all family owned and the best part about going with Teking is that he actually owns one of the islands in the atoll! Its on the side that no other tour boats go so you are really in for a treat when you head over to that part of the lagoon. The group tours start with going around the lagoon, snorkeling, and a lunch on his island. He also mentioned to me that they are soon going to start private dinner options which sounds freakin amazing!

All the palms on Honeymoon Island

Teking’s island is also right next door to the beautiful “Honeymoon Island” in the atoll. This is again an island that no other boats usually go to so chances of you being the only one there is very high. This island is also very popular with the windsurfers so the only other people you might see around here are windsurfers.

Overcast but look at that water!

The second day we went out on the boat it was a little overcast but look at the water! Even on the island’s cloudiest days, the lagoon shines the kind of azure blue that you really have to rub your eyes to make sure its not tricking you; its that unreal!

Sadly, on this day, our cruise was cut short cos it started pouring rain! But Im so grateful that we got to experience the lagoon once again as well as explore newer islands with Teking Tours. Highly recommend them if you want to charter a private tour.
