Even though we are blessed with mild winters here in California, both Anush and I were craving a mid winter escape to escape the non stop cold rain we have been having for the past few weeks and Hawaii was the perfect option being just a 5 hour plane ride away!

One of my fave destinations to shop for swim and resort wear essentials is Bloomingdales! Especially with the limited time that we had since we decided on this trip last minute, I even made use of their “buy online and pick up same day in store” option. I mean how convenient is that?! I adore this Embroidered-Trim Tunic Swim Cover-Up ; its billowy kaftan style sleeves gives it such an effortlessly chic vibe. The tassel ties at the front waist and the back are gorgeous details in this number. The coverup is super easy for throwing on over your swimsuit for a beach day or even wearing with a slip underneath for a casual island lunch.

I am a total sucker for any tropical print – and this Minkpink bikini from Bloomingdales was sooo perfect for a Hawaiian getaway with its floral and palm print! I love the adjustable side ties on the bottom and the top is also super comfy.
