The second island on the itinerary for our Greece trip was Paros! After Mykonos, it was a pleasant change . Both islands have a completely different vibe even though they are so close to one another. Stay tuned for my Paros travel guide on the blog tomorrow. In this post, I will be recapping our stay at the beautiful Yria Boutique Hotel in Paros.
Yria Hotel was by far one of the most beautiful resorts we have stayed at ever! From the minute you walk in you feel like you have stepped into a Mediterranean oasis. This luxury resort is located in the heart of the beautiful bay of Parasporos, about 10 min from the town of Parikia in Paros and is set amongst an oasis of vineyards, trees and wildlife. Anush and I absolutely loved the luxurious yet rustic setting of this resort. It was so serene, peaceful and relaxing, we could hear birds chirping everywhere. Yria totally embodies the authentic and traditional Greek island escape like no other ; this is what we loved the most about the property.
The resort grounds are beyond beautiful, every villa was adorned with lush bougainvillea that made it look so postcard worthy. I mean look at this patio (above) – how dreamy is it?! We loved waking up to this view everyday. The villas are all designed keeping the traditional Cycladic architecture in mind.
Yria has a poolside bar and a restaurant called Nefeli on property , where we had yummy cooked to order breakfast every morning. The restaurant offers mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine with Paros island local specialities. Their other facilities include an amazing spa, pool , tennis courts and more.
We loved walking over to Parasporos beach every evening to catch the sunset. The beach is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel and is the perfect place to spend the afternoon or catch the sunset while sipping on a cold one at Parasporos beach club.
