Fave products for colored hair

Summer is officially in full swing, and I was “dying” (pun intented!) to go lighter on my hair for warm weather season. I love blonde balayage highlights and always opt to have lighter pieces in my hair to give me those endless summer vibes. But this time I took the plunge to go a light ashy blonde and there’s no one else I would trust for this job, other than the fab Jamie Garland of Bsociety Los Gatos. I was first introduced to her last year, and was obsessed with how she did my hair last time. This time Jamie added more light balayage pieces in my hair all around to give me that sunkissed beachy blonde look perfect for my upcoming travels and summer beach days.

With colored hair, I always take extra care to make sure the color stays locked in and dosent turn brassy ; and also to make sure my hair stays hydrated. Some of my fave beauty products for colored hair are :

1 ) Olaplex Hair Perfector no 3 : Olaplex has a simple three-step process that includes a patented active ingredient that works on a molecular level to seek out broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage. Jamie used the Olaplex no 1 and 2 on my hair in the salon. The Olaplex Hair Perfector no 3 is an at home treatment to use once a week to help strengthen the hair from within, reducing breakage and improving its overall look and feel. I swear by this product and religiously use it once a week.

2 ) Amika Purple Shampoo and Conditioner : The golden rule to beat brassy tones to blonde highlights is a good purple pigmented shampoo and conditioner. I am currently using the Amika bust your brass purple shampoo and Conditioner and love it!

3 ) Amika Nourishing Mask : I use this atleast 1-2 times per week instead of or mixed in with my conditioner to give an extra hydration boost for my hair.

4 ) Bumble and Bumble while you sleep mask : This is my fave overnight mask thats perfect to sleep in with or even to leave on for 20 min for a deep conditioning effect.

5 ) Bumble and Bumble save the day : I love using this leave in conditioner post hair wash; makes my hair super soft and smells amazing!

6 ) Moroccan Oil Color continue shampoo and conditioner : Since I wash my hair twice a week , I do the purple shampoo + conditioner once and a moisturizing hydrating shampoo + conditioner for the other time. I am loving the new Color Continue line from Moroccan Oil, which is not only super hydrating but also helps maintain color.

7 ) Moroccan Oil Protect and prevent Spray : Obsessed with this new spray! It not only prevents color fade but also guards against UV and pollution protection.

8 ) Moroccan Oil Treatment : My go to hair oil treatment, I either use it as a pre shampoo deep conditioning mask mixed in with no (3) or as a leave in conditioner mixed in with (5) or (7).
