Although I do love travelling, sometimes its so much fun to be a tourist in my own town and rediscover fun spots. Living in the Bay Area for about 3 years now, I had been to China Town in San Francisco just once in the past and loved how colorful and vibrant it was! Anush had never been before so that was reason enough for us to go again. Did you know that it is the biggest Chinatown outside Asia and the oldest in North America ?! It really feels like as though you have stepped into another country altogether. There are tons of roads and alleys to explore and get lost, the most prominent of them all is Grant Avenue which is so beautiful with all the red lanterns. And there’s no shortage of delicious Chinese food and treats! If you do happen to visit make sure to swing by the oldest bakery there – Eastern Bakery for their delicious custard egg tarts and pork buns – so good and incredibly cheap ! Golden Gate Bakery is also very well known for its amazing egg tarts.
The weather in the city is always more chilly than down here in the Bay, so I wore this cozy shag coat from Tularosa for the day. It is one of my favee fave coats ever; its soft, snuggly and so comfy! I wore it over a casual red bodysuit and these destroyed boyfriend denim from True religion. I love the flattering fit and street vibe of these rad pair of jeans. While exploring I always make sure to wear a comfortable pair of shoes and these M.Gemi beauties fit that bill perfectly. They are one of the most beautiful pair of booties I own, period. The craftsmanship, finish and style of this bootie is so on point. It comes in so many other colors, a great luxe bootie if you are looking to invest in something this season.
