Convertible Skirt Dress

I love a good versatile piece of clothing, something that I can get to use not only across seasons but also one that can be styled in more ways than one. This Show me Your Mumu Convertible skirt Dress is the bomb dot com. Consider it a serious must have in your closet! Not only is it a great summer to fall transitional piece, but serves double duty as it can be worn both as a dress as well as a maxi skirt! A piece like this is also an ideal option to pack on trips so you get two outfits off of it.

The gorgeous paisley print and the tiered ruffles are such darling details in this number. The ruffles are what does the trick to make the skirt actually look flattering when worn as a dress. I have tried wearing other maxi skirts as a dress in the past and always run into the same problem that it ends up looking kinda bulky when pulled up as a dress. But in this skirt, the ruffles are a delicate savior and makes the piece look flattering when worn either way. Thats the part I love the most about this skirt dress!

I wore it as a skirt while running errands this past weekend over a casual white bodysuit. I finished the look with strappy sandals and my new fave Kayu beach bag that also works as a fun weekend tote. Later that day, I rewore the skirt as a strapless dress for dinner out with friends. I accessorized it with the same sandals and tote, but added this fall pom hat from Hat Attack to finish this look. Either one of the looks can be made fall appropriate by swapping the sandals for a cute pair of booties and throwing on a suede or leather jacket over the outfit.
