We just got back from a long trip to Thailand and India. It was so amazing vacationing in Thailand and then visiting our family in India. While we were in India we also made a quick trip to my mom’s coffee estate in the Chickmaglur area of Karnataka. I have the fondest memories visiting the coffee estate all through my childhood and it had been a couple of years since I last went to the estate. August is still the monsoon season in most parts of Southern India, so the weather in the estate was absolutely brilliant – cool, wet and so so green – the perfect lush tropical escape.
Here is a photo diary of me in and around the estate , embracing the rain and reliving all my old memories in this special place. I wore this striped Oneill womens sweater hoodie over denim shorts. The sweater is soo cozy and comfy, its a great transitional piece to own from summer to fall. Ideal for chilly beach days or weekends like this. I kept it simple and paired the look with waterproof sandals from Ipanema and a bright umbrella in tow.
