Fern Grotto Beach

A few days ago my girlfriend/photographer Paulina and I had been to Wilder Ranch State Park. I really wanted a palm frond prop to shoot with haha, but it completely slipped my mind as I actually stepped out for the shoot. But to my surprise, we stumbled across this exotic haven – Fern Grotto Beach! One word to describe it to you guys – unreal! This little beach comes along the coastal bluff trail and is the perfect spot for an afternoon picnic. But the best feature of the gorgeous beach was the natural cave that was adorned with beautiful wild growing ferns! The tropical child in me was super excited for this ! Next time I am back I will be brave enough to venture out in the cave which also looked so cool.

The Beach People are the ones that originally started the ever popular round beach towels. The towel is the ultimate companion for beach days, pool parties and styling around the home. They come in so many beautiful designs and prints – all with the same feature of lounging on one side and drying on the other. This Dreamtime design is from their volume 2 set of towels; and the print was inspired by crusted salt on black pancake rocks. All the towels come in this adorable jute tote that doubles as a beach bag.

There’s something about nude swimwear that I find SO sexy. The trick is finding the right shade so it actually compliments your skin tone and does not make you look well.. naked haha! I love this blush colored suit from salt Swimwear which worked perfectly on my tan complexion. I love the unique design of the top, that criss cross pattern is so pretty. Both the top and bottom come in a range of other solid colors and prints, lots of options to mix and match to create the combo you love. I threw over this lightweight gauzy white coverup over the suit, also from Salt swimwear.

  1. Well done. Beautiful photo shoot!
Thinking to visit. Did you have the place to yourself? How was the weather–windy or cold?

      1. Thanks! We went on Saturday morning. Weather was very nice. That adds up to more crowd than I would have liked, but what can you do.
