Pioneertown is a short drive from Joshua Tree and a must do if you are in the area. It lies on Pioneertown Road at Route 62 in the town of Yucca Valley. The drive up here was super gorgeous and winding and has also been designated a California Scenic Drive. This wild wild west town totally looks like you stepped into a set of an old western movie and its no surprise , as it was actually a live-in Old West motion picture set built in the 1940’s! A number of Westerns and early television shows were filmed have been filmed here. A great place to eat here is Pappy’s and Harriet, but make sure to reserve a table since they have a long wait time.
Walking down the main road is such an amazing experience, especially on the weekend since they have music and Old west re-enactments to make you feel like you have stepped into a totally different era. I wore this gorgeous blouse from Jetset diaries for the day with denim shorts and some comfy espadrilles. This top is so so dreamy with its pretty crochet detailing and exaggerated bell sleeves. I finished the look with my fave straw hat and a suede backpack from ASOS. I love carrying chic backpacks like this for travel, its a great way to stay handsfree or rather keep your hands free to use your phone to snap/insta away haha!
