Ice flowers in Pacific Grove

A few days ago, my photographer friend and I drove down to Pacific Grove to see the beautiful ice flowers in Pacific Grove. I had heard so much about these gorgeous wildflowers as a top must-see for California! They are also nicknamed the magic purple carpet. The magenta ice plant blankets the rocky coast for a truly neon spectacle set against the Pacific Ocean. We caught these photos during sunset, so its hard to see the vibrant pink, but if you went during the day, they are just so bright! I missed them last spring , so I was definitely not going to miss them this time around, it was worth every bit of crazy traffic we faced on our way up there haha! They bloom for just a few short weeks in late Spring every year and the sight of the pink carpets of flowers right by the oceanside is seriously nothing short of spectacular. If you are in the Bay Area around this season. I highly highly recommend this and even if its not during the season, Pacific Grove is just plain beautiful all year around so I would still consider it a must do :).
