We always love discovering new beaches around the bay. About two weekends ago, it was pouring rain in the South Bay, but we took a chance to drive down south to Santa Cruz and there was not a single drop of rain past the Santa Cruz mountains! The Bay Area is known to have pockets of micro climates like this so lucky for us, the rain didn’t dampen our weekend beach session. It was still overcast, but the weather was so warm and glorious – perfect weather for a long drive! We drove upto Davenport Landing Beach, a little past the town of Davenport along Highway 1 and it was absolutely beautiful. There were rolling hills of grasslands and wildflowers everywhere, and the beach itself was very serene and gorgeous. I can see why this is a favorite among locals, surfers and even passers by. Although there were a bunch full of beach go-ers the beach is so big that you will sure to feel like you have it all to yourself, which is precisely what we wanted. Anush and I go to the beach a lot, and we have to say that this is definitely one of our fave local beaches :).
I wore this super cute white romper from Sea Gypsies. This lace trim bell sleeved gause romper is so perfect for a beach day or any spring day out. I own one too many white rompers and dresses, haha but I can never ever get bored of a timeless piece like this. I had my denim jacket at bay, for later in the evening. As for accessories, I chose this beautiful Ale by Alessandra hat + beach bag combo from Sol Escapes. Swing up their site to find an impressive array of clothing and accessories for all your warm weather travel needs. I love the giant yellow tassel on this bag, it matched so perfectly with the wildflowers, don’t you think?! The bag is roomy and ideal for carrying all your essentials. This one is definitely coming with me on my next vacation ;).
I finished the look with the most comfy pair of gladiators from Ancient Greek Sandals that I got from one of my favorite SF boutiques Elizabeth Charles. They carry a collection of highly curated styles hand-picked from designer lines from around the world. I have always wanted a pair of AGS sandals for the longest time and when I got this pair I fell in love with the fantastic contemporary design and craftsmanship behind these shoes. They are handmade locally by skilled craftsmen in Greece using the finest leather and traditional techniques that have existed for centuries. These sandals are sure to be on repeat all summer long! This one is sold out, but check out the other gorgeous pairs over at Elizabeth Charles.
