About two weeks ago, Anush and I had the pleasure of visiting and staying at the world class Villa Del Palmar resort at the islands of Loreto in Mexico, for our 4 year wedding anniversary. We had such an incredible trip, we could not have chosen a more perfect location to celebrate our special weekend. Most of you might not have heard about Loreto right? This quaint town is located on the east coast of the Baja California Sur in Mexico. This beautiful destination will transport you to an old Mexico that you have dreamed off – thanks to its amazing diversity in natural beauty like the deserts and beaches and manmade beauty like the colorful town. Stay tuned for my posts this week showing you the beauty this paradise has to offer.
Villa del Palmar at The Islands of Loreto is a luxury destination resort on the Sea of Cortez, off the eastern coast of the Baja peninsula overlooking Danzante Island (one of five in the region). Flanked by the rugged Sierra de la Giganta range, the Villa del Palmar is the first and only resort to occupy one of the Gulf of California’s last virgin coastlines. It is located conveniently about 40 minutes from the Loreto airport and is a peaceful stunning getaway whether you are looking to travel solo, with your significant other or family.
On the first night at the resort, we enjoyed one of the most magical sunsets we have seen just before we headed out for dinner at the Market restaurant in the resort. The backdrop of the desert against the water and pink orange sorbet sky was nothing short of breathtaking! I wore this ultra feminine maxi dress by VIX for the evening. I love the beautiful cobalt and olive print on teh white background. The print reminds me of cactii and it was so perfect for the location dont you think :)?! Its a gorgeous dress that works for both day and night. I finished the look with wedges and carried a denim jacket with me to throw on later on in the night. I also have to mention that this resort is Baja’s only Million Star Resort since its literally in the middle of nowhere and not disturbed with light pollution. I have one word to describe the night sky that you will see from here – UNREAL!
