Palm Print Skirt

The latest tropical trend to hit the fashion scene is bold Palm Prints. I am a huge fan of  fun lively prints and hence it took me no time to jump on this trendwagon to palm paradise. Tons of designers showcased designs with palm prints earlier during Spring/Summer 2014 runway shows. These big botanical motifs make such a great statement print for the summer, be it for a daytime or a night time look. The most common palm prints are usually monochromatic; green palms on a white background or shadows of palms (black) on a white background. I do have a few pieces in the monochromatic palette and they will be hitting the blog soon enough. But for this post I decided to style this gorgeous colorful palm print skirt. It reminds me of my happy place : sunset at the beach! I can close my eyes and picture myself with the ocean breeze in my hair, the sand in my toes, sipping a Mai Tai and watching the beautiful pink Maui sunset (this was during our honeymoon to Maui!). I paired the skirt with a simple orange chiffon tank and a mint beaded statement necklace to finish off the look.
